Contents | Introduction to business administation and its branches of the organization, management and accounting. Particular attention to issues of capital and income, economic and financial equilibrium of the company and an introduction to financial accounting. |

Educational objectives | The main gained knowledge shall be about: - the nature and operation of the company system; - interactions between company system and environmental system; - the corporate teleology and the strategic decisions related; - the setting of the organization, in its structural and operational aspects; - the analysis of business management, through the operations and the values that they generate; - the meaning and the method of calculation of income and capital; - the procedures for the identification and achievement of the conditions of economic and financial equilibrium within the company system. - basics of financial accounting. The main skills shall be: - to understand how the company system works; - to identify environmental opportunities and constraints for company business; - to identify the most appropriate organizational solutions based on the type and size of the company; - to understand the economic and financial aspects in business operations; - to know how to prepare and understand the basic accounting records in double entry; - to be able to identify the choices and actions more appropriate for the achievement and maintenance of conditions of economic and financial equilibrium. |
Prerequisites | The course does not require specific prior knowledge other than the one already achieved by graduates from high schools. |
Teaching methods | The course is organized primarily with face-to-face lectures covering all the topics of the program; some practical trainings are included. |
Other information | Attending lessons is not compulsory but strongly recommended |
Learning verification modality | The exam includes a written test with 20 multiple choice questions to be completed within 30 minutes. The questions concern all the issues discussed during the course, extensively checking the preparation of the student. Only the students who earn at least a mark of 18/30 can access to the oral exam. During the oral examination, the student is informed about the mistakes made in the written test; then, he has to answer correctly to some questions that are chosen in order to check his knowledge of the subject and ability of exposure. |
