Contents Tennessee Williams's "A Streetcar Named Desire" from the stage to the screen.
Reference texts Tennessee Williams, "A Streetcar Named Desire", any available edition. The Library of America edition is highly suggested. Elia Kazan's 1951 film is considered a text for analysis.
Educational objectives Students are supposed to gain knowledge of themes, structure, and context for Williams's play, as well as of its passage from the stage to the big screen.
Prerequisites No prerequisites are required.
Teaching methods Traditional classes will be offered, together with audiovisual materials.
