Educational objectives The student must acquire critical awareness of the main argumentative articulations characterizing the evolution of moral philosophy and the thematic areas addressed by the course. It is expected: the acquisition of the philosophical contents of the discipline and the methodology of reading and interpretation of philosophical texts; the development of the ability of elaborative-critical and interpretative orientation.

Extended program The course deals with the modern evolution of some questions of moral character through the consideration of the relationship between romanticism and secularization. The course intends to follow the historical development of these two notions, paying particular attention to their connection with the theme of evil.
