| Educational objectives | .Questo insegnamento è concepito per fornire agli studenti una conoscenza di fondo circa la logica del pensiero economico e i fondamenti concettuali necessari alla comprensione dei principali fenomeni microeconomici e macroeconomici. In particolare questi fenomeni si possono così riassumere: comportamento del consumatore, comportamento del produttore (breve periodo e lungo periodo), forme di mercato e posizioni di equilibrio delle imprese in ciascuna forma di mercato. |

Theory of production: notion of production, production function, isoquant, types of isoquant, budget constraint of producer, producer equilibrium (long period), total cost, total fixed cost, total variable cost, average total cost, average fixed cost, average variable cost, marginal cost. Marginal and total product (one variable factor), producer equilibrium (short period). Welfare economics: social optimum of production, social optimum of consumption, optimal mix of production, Pareto's Theorems, public goods, equilibrium of Lindhal-Samuelson, free-raiding problem.
