Department of Economics

The Department of Economics at the University of Perugia observes the following semester start dates:

  • The first semester usually begins in September/October and ends in December/January, while exams are held in January/February.
  • The second semester usually begins in February/March and ends in May/June, while exams are held in June/July.

However, please refer to the current calendar in order to complete your Learning Agreement, as last year's courses are usually quite similar to those of the new academic year.

Students are also advised to contact each professor directly at the beginning of their course to find out whether attendance is compulsory. Regardless of whether it is compulsory or not, attendance is strongly recommended.

At the end of each course, students must take a final exam. If students do not take the final oral exam or fail it, no ECTS credits can be awarded. Please note that the Degree Course Regulations do not allow credits to be awarded on the basis of attendance alone.

ECTS system adopted: 1 CFU (University Credit) = 1 ECTS
